I was diagnosed with HPV 3 weeks ago and had to undergo?

the LEEP surgery. I had unprotected with a man in June. Could he have given it to me or was it not long enough ago for me to have developed these cancerous cells? If it could have been him, should I confront him about it as I am furious? I am 30 and he is 42 but has had a vasectomy (don't know if that changes anything). I also read that men rarely know that they have HPV, so maybe he didn't. What do you think? Thanks
