What do you think about the the caucasian shepherd?

Im thinking about getting a dog for my home and im looking for a strong protective trust worthy dog and i do have a daughter at 1 and half is it a good idea, i have read up a bit about them but would really like to speak to someone who's had or haves one of these dogs thanks.
