Uncompressed wav file?

I work for an audio company and my boss wants a piece of music in 'uncompressed' wav and mp3 format. I currently have the music file in mp3 format, but my project file became corrupt, so I cant export it into wav. I'm using Cubase 4. If I export the mp3 audio into a wav file, I take it will no longer be 'uncompressed', though, can you tell the difference (ie, can he figure it out?), or am I screwed?
